I come from Massachusetts where the landscape, foliage, architecture and ocean colors are so very different from Vero Beach, Florida. It took me a while to feel comfortable painting a tropical palm. Painting routinely and painting outdoors (Plein Air) has helped with the transition. I can now say that Florida feels like home.

Being able to produce art in different mediums including paint, pen and ink, clay and fabric for most of my adult life has broadened my artistic perspective. Other art experiences include commercial art, editorial, advertising and book illustration.

My customers are both private and corporate and I have been honored to receive a Massachusetts Fine Art Grant and have received awards for my paintings in several juried art shows.

Currently, my inspiration and focus is on the scenes and subjects which surround me. I find color very enticing and am continually evolving my painting style to paint dramatic light effects, patterns of shadows and displays of rich color. Other themes are of beach and umbrella scenes and dogs in humorous situations. I have interest in a wide variety of subjects.
